What you’ll do in the class
- We'll start with a joint exercise (thumb squeeze technique) to get a feel for the sound and we will all make a small bowl.
- Here it quickly becomes clear that the same technique produces different results and that everyone creates an individual piece in the end. Because it's not just about technology, it's also about your own handwriting.
- You can then make your own pottery. If you have sketches or inspiration, feel free to bring them along, I will help you implement them. If you don't have any ideas yet, I would also be happy to assist you in brainstorming and design development.
- Due to the small group size of a maximum of 5 participants, you have enough time to try things out and I can provide you with intensive and individual support. I would be happy to show you the techniques with which you can achieve the best possible results for your pieces.
- Each person produces approx. 2-4 pieces, depending on the effort and size. For example, you can make plates, cups, bowls, or vases.
- You can choose a color for each object (e.g. dark blue, transparent, green, orange, white). I'll take care of your pottery masterpiece, burn and glaze it with the color of your choice.
- I will then notify you as soon as your items are ready for collection. This takes approximately 2 to 6 weeks.
